Prof. (Dr) Prashant Kumar is currently the Director and Professor at Tilak School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. Previously, he was an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Media Studies at Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar, where he also served as Central Public Information Officer, Deputy Proctor, and a member of the PR cell. From 2015 to 2019, he led the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, while also acting as the Press Spokesperson. He specializes in Broadcast Journalism and is involved in Social Science Research. He has published 37 research papers in various reputable National and International journals and authored 6 books on different aspects of Journalism and Mass Communication. Additionally, he has presented 21 research papers at seminars and conferences in India and abroad and has organized several national and international seminars and workshops.
